Living Stones Church is an official “Community Partner” for the Canada Winter Games. We have a unique opportunity to show love to our city, and to the thousands of volunteers, athletes and visitors!
The below serving opportunities will be updated with more details as we receive more information.
COFFEE HOUSE TEAM: 6 people needed per morning
We are reaching out to our community by offering free coffee and muffins every weekday morning at the church from 7:30 to 9:30 am during the games. We are looking for people to help serve coffee and muffins, and help people feel welcome.
STREET TEAM: 5 people needed
An LSC worship team that will be performing on the community stage at the 2019 Canada Winter Games 52° North Music & Culteral Festival! The performance is booked for February 22 from 5 to 6 pm at the Gary W. Harris Celebration Plaza. We need hospitality volunteers to help people feel welcome and hand out invitations to our free Pancake Breakfast.
ATHLETE’S VILLAGE TURN AROUND TEAM: 30 people needed
During the first week of the winter games there will be 1800 participants staying in Athlete’s Village at Red Deer College. Saturday, February 23 is “Turn Around Day”. The dorms need to be turned around to accommotate a new set of 1800 athletes who are arriving for the second week of the winter games. This is a great opportunity for individuals, families and groups to serve together! LSC has a shift from 1 to 4 pm that day.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST TEAM: 10 people needed
Living Stones Church is excited about hosting a FREE Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, February 23 here at the church from 8:30 am to 11 am. This is an opportunity to show our community that we are real people serving a real God! We want them to feel loved, accepted and valued.
