Missions & Outreach
"Any endeavor outside our local congregation to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ; making disciples and participating in the whole need of mankind-spiritual, emotional and physical" (LSC Missions Policy)
The membership of LSC continues to show their commitment to missions with a longstanding direction to their Official Board that a minimum of ten per cent of the annual offerings must be allocated to our Missions Committee for allocation to missions (ongoing and short-term) under their oversight.
Anyone desiring to assist LSC in our sponsorship of these ministries is invited to contact the church directly. Please note that tax deductible receipts are available for donations written out to "Living Stones Church Missions", but government regulations do not allow donors to specify a certain missionary.

Global Missions from Living Stones Church 2011
Metro Ministries currently operates programs at more than 200 sites in New York City, as well as in the Philippines, Romania, South Africa and now 5 sites in Costa Rica as an arm of Living Stones Church. We have been working to rescue hurting children and offer a message of salvation and love that encourages them to stay in school and away from gangs and other destructive or criminal behaviors so common in inner-city environments. We have backed up the message with ongoing tangible aids such as bags of food, school supplies and uniforms as well as Christmas presents and city wide outreach events around Christmas. Our main challenge is to be very clear in offering a choice to living that is contrary to the worlds ways and help these kids daily have the courage to live out the Christian life. We have encountered different forms of abuse in these kids lives and are now seeking to bring in outside professional guidance to help these kids work thru some of these challenges. Our relationship and constant caring makes a huge difference in their lives and we intend on continuing to provide them with as many tools we can for them to break the cycles they currently find themselves in.

My main focus has been working with the YWAM Medical ship that was recently given to our organization. The ship is heading up to Papua New Guinea in March & remaining there until September of this year. Our desire is to provide the people of PNG with wholistic care, meeting their spiritual & physical needs. My current role with the ship ministry has been contacting & processing the volunteers who will come on board the ship. Finding the necessary medical & marine professionals, as well as general volunteers needed to make the outreaches possible. Please Pray: That the message & hope brought to the people of Papua New Guinea would continue to grow & spread through the country. Safety, protection, & lasting impact through our medical ship outreach in Papua New Guinea. Vision, stamina, passion, & fruitfulness in ministry

Shannon Mayall The World Race is a stretching journey into 11 countries in 11 months to serve "the least of these" while amongst real & raw community. This unique mission trip is a challenging adventure for young adults to abandon worldly possessions & a traditional lifestyle in exchange for an understanding that it's not about you; it's about the Kingdom. So far we have worked with the homeless, sex trade workers, & orphanages. We have taught English, participated in door to door evangelism, construction projects, preaching & outdoor crusades. Please Pray: For the team as we live in close community with each other. For good communications with the local people. Wherever we travel that the translators will be accurate. For protection, fruitfulness & a lasting impact where ever we go.
