Prayer Ministries

Emergency Prayer Chain
If you would like to receive prayer for an emergency or pressing need, please contact our prayer chain coordinator Marlene Cabelka 403.748.2516 or Pastor Mark 403.505.5847. If you would like to be a part of our Prayer Team for emergency requests, please contact the church office 403.347.7311. They will pray with you and pass your request on to others who will also lift your need in prayer. You may also email your prayer requests to info@livingstones.ab.ca .

Intercessors
A number of intercessory prayer groups meet weekly in homes or at the church. Each group has a particular prayer emphasis and seeks to pray scripturally according to God's heart and will. For more information contact the church office at 403.347.7311.

Sunday Evening Prayer
Encounter God in a powerful way during the Sunday evening prayer meeting held each week in the sanctuary at 6:30 p.m. Open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, the emphasis and format varies from week to week. All are welcome.

Men's Breakfast
Tuesdays at 6:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall (breakfast will be served).

Pastor's Mighty Men
Men, join with the Senior Pastor in his study each Sunday morning from 8:00 to 9:00 for an hour of pre-service prayer and motivation. Prepare your heart and mind to receive the most from the worship service by meeting with God beforehand.

Care Ministries

Hospital Visitation
When the office discovers that someone who attends LSC is sick, the Hospital Visitation Coordinator is informed and arranges for a personal visit in the hospital.

Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry is a comprehensive ministry that equips and mobilizes members of our church to provide one-on-one care to individuals experiencing all kinds of life needs, crises, and circumstances. A team of men and women have received extensive training and are equipped to give personal support and distinctively Christian care to the grieving, the terminally ill and their families, the homebound, the lonely, the discouraged, and those facing numerous other personal and spiritual crises.

Recovery Ministries
Recovery ministries provide a safe place for people to find answers and caring assistance for some of life's common struggles. With sufficient enrollment, groups are offered on a range of personal life issues including: "Divorce Care" (rebuilding after separation) and "Good Mourning" (support during life's losses).

Small Groups
In addition to the many other benefits of small groups such as fellowship and growing in the Word, one of the great values of small groups is the personal care that they provide for those who attend. Small group members pray for, stand with, visit, and provide practical help for those in their group who are going through personal crises. (For more information link to Small Groups under Adult Ministries)

Benevolence Ministry
Food hampers and limited financial assistance are available to those suffering from financial setbacks. Those in need may phone the office for more information. The office will forward the names and situations of qualifying individuals to the benevolence committee who will decide the support available.
