1 Corinthians, Part 2 - Pastor Paul Vallee
There is no prerequisite for taking this class. If you did not take 1 Corinthians, Part 1, you can review those lectures as they are recorded, but this is unnecessary. Each week’s lesson is developed according to the themes presented in the book. 1 Corinthians is one of the most misunderstood and controversial books of the New Testament. The church world faced and continues to face division over its teaching and application to everyday life.
Judges - Driving Out Your Enemies - Tom & Karen Lesher
Nothing has changed from the days of the Judges – people still do what is right in their own eyes. Absolutes are shoved aside, and the result is bondage to sin. Only God’s truths and moral principles bring peace and freedom from bondage.
Spiritual Parenting - Pastor Brenda Boyce
It’s hard enough to train kids to behave, but good behaviour isn’t what Jesus calls for in the Bible. He wants hearts and souls that are shaped in vibrant faith and love toward God and others. How can parents cultivate this in their children?
Below are Pastor Paul’s past classes with recordings (notes included) available. Click on the blue links for more information.
- Spirit of Truth and Error – Pastor Paul Vallee – ‘What is truth?’ This is a question that has plagued humanity. How critical is the issue of truth?
- Back to the Basics, a sequel to “Spirit of Truth and Error” – Pastor Paul Vallee – How significant is doctrine (teaching)? In Paul’s pastoral letters, he admonished both Timothy and Titus regarding the significant nature of ‘sound doctrine’ (teaching) in light of the many distortions that abound to bring confusion and condemnation into people’s lives.
- The Parables of Jesus – Pastor Paul Vallee – Why did Jesus teach in Parables? What are Parables? Jesus used stories that were familiar to people of his day to teach powerful spiritual truths.
- Ephesians – Pastor Paul Vallee – The book of Ephesians is one of the richest theological books in the New Testament. This letter immediately raises our sights upward to focus on God’s Majesty, Sovereignty and Redemptive nature.
- 1 Corinthians, Part 1 – Pastor Paul Vallee – This course will explain how the gifts of the Spirit operate to build up the church rather than tear it down. The key theological issue presented by Paul is regarding the resurrection: How does a wrong view of the resurrection affect our current ethics?
