Nick is the superintendent at Alberta Springs Golf Resort, and Trish is a Registered Nurse in the Labour and Delivery unit at Red Deer Regional Hospital. Nick serves on the LSC Board of Elders and both Nick and Trish serve our church in various areas such as Altar Call, Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry and Children’s Ministry. They both love water sports including swimming, wake surfing, and paddle boarding. The Robichauds have a passion to see marriages thrive and a vision for this conference to be a fun weekend spent meeting other couples and exploring Biblical insights and encouragement.
HANS & JANET BOERSMA
Hans and Janet Boersma have been married for 33 years. They have 13 children and 15 grandchildren from their five married children. Hans is an electrician and formerly served on the LSC Board of Elders. Janet is a stay-at-home mom, homeschooling some children still living at home. Hans enjoys helping out many churches in Red Deer and outlying areas with their electrical needs. You will sometimes find him helping his nephew Graham with dishes in the LSC Cafe. Janet volunteers in the Nursery, snuggling many of her grandchildren. The entire family loves camping together every summer. Planning events at the local community hall and serving on different local boards keep them connected to the community. Janet loves attending to her bee hives, chickens and gardening while Hans puts up hundreds of bales with the help of any of the kids he can wrangle to help. Together, they have a passion for encouraging family life togetherness. They have loved every minute of their large family and serve the Lord wholeheartedly – no turning back!
PHILIP & JENESSA PARKER
Philip and Jenessa have been attending Living Stones Church for 13 years, serving in various ministries such as Children’s and Women’s Ministry. They have been married for 11 years and have three amazing kids: Seth (8), Nora (6), and Ben (10 months). Philip is a skilled worker and has worked in carpentry and mechanics, and is a passionate speaker when telling others about Jesus. Jenessa has a heart for whole health and relationships and is currently working as a nutrition coach and continuing schooling as a counsellor. They both love God and are passionate about seeing his truth and plan in marriage. They believe communication is vital to relationships with our spouses, families, friends, and most importantly, God. Our hope for this conference is to see couples experience and engage with each other and God more meaningfully. We are also so happy to connect with you, pray with you, and watch each other grow in the life we’ve been placed in.
JABIN & CHRISTA STEVENSON
Jabin and Christa Stevenson have been married for 21 years and have three children: Nevaeh (20), Evandon (18) and Phoenix (16). Jabin works for Shunda Consulting and Construction Management, and Christa keeps busy at home. They both serve on the LSC Worship Team and have experience pastoring in Alberta and B.C. For fun, Jabin and Christa like doing pretty much any activity their kids want to do. They are also excited that their daughter Nevaeh is getting married this summer! The Stevensons know that sharing challenges they’ve walked through can encourage others in similar situations.
KELLY & MARCIA MARTIN
Marcia married the ‘Dream of her Life’ (or so says her husband) in 1988. During those years of wedded bliss, they raised two wonderful girls who are now 28. Their family grew recently when they acquired a son-in-law, a beautiful young couple from Ukraine, and a willful Bernedoodle. Having attended Living Stones Church since 1998, Kelly and Marcia have served faithfully. You may find Kelly opening the door as you enter LSC or assisting with check-in for KidsTown. As well, Kelly is a member of the LSC Missions Board. Marcia serves on the Board of Elders and teaches grades 4/5 in KidsTown. During the week, Marcia is an RN Diabetes Educator, and Kelly is a medical sales representative. This couple believes fundamentally that everything we have is God’s and that we have been tasked with managing God’s resources. Let’s talk about how to handle God’s blessings!
CHILTON & JOY BREITKREUTZ
Chilton and Joy started dating at 17 after meeting at a Bible camp. They have been married for 15 years and have two beautiful children: Ezekiel (11) and Zion (9). Chilton is an engineer and an LSC Deacon. Joy is a photographer who serves on the Women’s Ministry team. They love going on adventures as a family to the mountains, the ocean, or wherever the wind takes them in their motorhome. The Breitkreutz’s have led home groups for about 10 years and have a heart for people and love to share their life as a way to help others feel less alone in their struggles, give them hope, and bring glory to God.
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
