PRISON MINISTRY INTEREST MEETING

Christ has called the Church to a ministry of reconciliation and restoration. If God has laid it on your heart to answer the call to prison ministry, we hope you will join us on May 25th for an Interest Meeting.

There is a pressing need for volunteers to offer in-prison ministry at the Red Deer Remand Centre. Prison Fellowship Canada (PFC) would like to partner with Living Stones Church to respond in faith to this need.

PFC will be coming alongside us to offer:

• Structure and expertise – assisting with access to program spaces and scheduling for in-prison ministry.
• Training (in-person and online) – and orientation into the prison system in Canada and program-specific training using a Bible-based curriculum for prisoners.
• Resources and support: study materials, boundaries guidance and best practices.

The Forgiveness Journey Program:

Forgiveness is a hard concept to grasp and accept, particularly if you have done something that has left you with a deep sense of guilt or shame. This program focuses on God’s unconditional love and His offer to forgive everyone regardless of their past, what they have done, or how far they are from Him. His mercy, grace and love for each person is greater than any guilt and comes first – before anything.
