What is it that Jesus did for or through you (and when)?
At the age of 21, I accepted Jesus as my personal saviour and Lord at a Christ Crusade in Edmonton. It was the first time I felt God’s love for others.
Are you a new Christian?
44 years ago I came to Christ at a large Christ Crusade in Edmonton. I was a young wife and mother of one child at the time. After my conversion, I spent some time doing written lessons sent to me in the mail. These lessons assisted me in using scripture to find answers to particular questions. It was very good. I was baptized Roman Catholic as a baby and received Catechism as a child and remember being conscious of God and did feel His presence several times in my childhood. I knew God was with me and He tried to communicate with me, but I felt like a new child, a whole new person when I accepted Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord that night at the Crusade.
How did you first discover Living Stones Church?
In the fall of 2013, I retired and had some time for myself, so I began going to the ladies bible studies at the church.
Do you have a story of answered prayer or “aha” moments?
So many blessings through the years, so many stories of God’s unfailing love, and His faithfulness to deliver, protect and provide for me.
What’s it like for you to “do life” with us here at LSC?
It is a blessing to worship Jesus at LSC, to enjoy the body of Christ gathered, to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit among us, to feel welcomed and loved by God’s family members at LSC and to enjoy Pastor Paul’s sermons based soundly on the bible.
Do you have any words of encouragement for someone who may be searching for God or is new to our church?
Lift your hands and praise the Lord, for He is good, and His mercy endures forever! (Psalm 106:1) Open your heart to Jesus. He is at your heart’s door and continues to knock. Open your heart’s door and let Jesus come into your heart. He will never leave you or forsake you unless you want Him to. Having Jesus in your life, right beside you day by day, will make all the difference!
