SERVING IN PRAYER MINISTRY

Positions marked with a (*) require approval by Elder/Pastor.

Sunday Positions

  • Children’s Ministry Prayer Volunteer – 20 minutes every Sunday as available (8:40-9:00 am).
  • Altar Prayer Ministry* – Pray for those who go forward for prayer during services or respond during altar calls. See details below.
  • Intercessors – Pray in agreement with other intercessors through an entire Sunday service. See details below.
  • Men’s Prayer – Meet in Pastor Paul’s office to intercede with other men for our services (8:00-8:30 am)

Flexible “at-home” Positions

Available by email to receive and intercede for requests. Must maintain confidentiality.

  • Weekly Prayer Request Volunteer
  • Emergency Prayer Volunteer
  • Prayer Shawl & Lap Rug Ministry – knit or crochet shaws/lap rugs. Donate those items for the sick or those needing encouragement. Pray for the person who receives it.

SUNDAY INTERCESSOR ROLE DESCRIPTION

Sunday Intercessors meet together to provide a prayer covering during the Sunday service. Prayers for open and humble hearts for those in attendance to receive whatever God is to reveal. Prayers for the Pastor and message to be bold and filled with power, to bring lasting change in those who hear it.

Qualifications:

  • Exhibits a strong, personal prayer life.
  • Exhibits a healthy moral character in personal, family and business life.
  • Regularly attends church services.
  • Is not prone to gossip or slander, rather, able to keep confidentiality.

Serving Time Commitment:

  • 9:30 AM Service: 9:15-10:45 AM
  • 11:15 AM Service: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
  • 6:00 PM Service: 5:45-7:15 PM

ALTAR CARE ROLE DESCRIPTION

Altar Care workers follow the Holy Spirit’s leading to provide prayer ministry for those who come forward on a Sunday morning during a portion of the worship service. This may include prayer for healing, deliverance, salvation, or any other personal requests. Pray for an attitude of faith and be spiritually prepared before ministering.

Qualifications:

  • Exhibits a strong, personal prayer life.
  • Exhibits a healthy moral character in personal, family and business life.
  • A regular attendee at church services.
  • Respects confidentiality and is not prone to gossip or slander.
  • Approved by the Council of Elders as a Prayer Minister and signs the Ministry Covenant before beginning ministry.

  • 9:30 AM Service: 9:30-10:00 AM
  • 11:15 AM Service: 11:15-11:45 AM
  • 6:00 PM Service: 6:00-6:30 PM
